Olivine Sandis a Magnesium Iron Silicate mineral produced from volcanic rocks. The nameolivine is given to members of the fosterite - fayalite solid-solution series.
It is a ecnomicalsource of MgO, with good insulating properties, high resistance to alkalineoxides that make it excellent for use in bricks and unshaped refractory. Because of its high melting point and resistance to chemical reagents is animportant refractory material and thus can be used in furnace linings and inkilns.
PrimaryUses in Refractory Industry
Olivine is usedas a raw material for basic refractories along with Dead Burnt Magnesite in manufacturing of Magnesia Bricks and MonolithicRefractories such as Ramming Mixes, Gunning Mixes, Tundish Spray Mixes and Fluxes. It has the advantage of excellent resistanceagainst metals and slagpenetration (due to highforsterite content), thermal shock, wear attack.
We offer Olivine for Refractory Application with various chemical compositions and numerous sizes asper clients requirement.
